9pm

Bodies

With Guests:

Bog
Yachtburner
Old Love

Bristling punk on Friday 31st at the Brunny..
OLD LOVE open up with their dark, dense and washed-out blast anthems. It's compelling shit. Don't miss them.
Next are BØG from Preston with raw, heaving sludge and hardcore. Stay tuned for an EP release from these clowns.
Following up the release of their excellent album Water Damage.. YACHTBURNER deliver sets which are heavy and sick with disjointed hope.
Headlining are Collingwood's anti-heroic punks BODIES; each show is a barefoot, brawling spasgasm. Good gristly songs that you can croak along to. Fresh from a split 12" with Batpiss / Spermaids, they're always keen to attack a show like tomorrow just don't matter. Cause it don't.

Aimee Francis

Oxfam Australia & MTV Music Australia present the first ever EMPRA acoustic rock residency with all proceeds going directly to Oxfam!

Remember those MTV Unplugged shows from Nirvana, Clapton, Pearl Jam, STP and Oasis? Well in a first of it's kind for us EMPRA, we will be performing a full rocking set of our tunes for you, totally acoustic with acoustic guitars, a smooth and clean sexy bass and kahon drums with glokenspiel, small cymbals, brushes and a cellist! All totally vibed to the perfect chilled out beer drinking Sunday afternoons in August at the Brunswick Hotel. It's even being promoted by the cool people at MTV Music Australia!

And check this out... we've even roped in all our best mates who are in our favourite rock'n'roll bands in Melbourne to join us by performing their rocking sets acoustically as well! There'll also be a couple of surprises when everyone gets together at the end to have a jam of a rock classic each week!

What's making this even more fabulous... is that all of us rockers are coming together to have a rock n roll jam to raise awareness about the issue of poverty in the world today! One in three people in the world live in poverty, but there's so many positive things we can do to change this.

Your attendance can help us raise the issue & your donation can go a long way in a poverty stricken town. ALL proceeds will be donated towards Oxfam.

Please visit https://www.oxfam.org.au/explore/ to find out more about Oxfam and its wonderful programs.

Last year alone, Oxfam Australia helped about six million people in 30 countries. This involved over 600 partner organisations on 146 projects, including 20 emergencies. Oxfam Shop worked with more than 136 fair trade and ethical producer partners in 38 countries, including Australia. Thanks to our generous supporters, families are growing more food, earning a living, accessing clean water and toilets, living healthier, safer lives and having their voices heard. Their contribution has made a positive difference to the lives of people around the world. Yours will too.
