"The iconic Brunswick Hotel are proudly hosting 'Bands Across the Water' a celebration of local Melbourne music in support of Australian charity, Hands Across the Water. On Saturday 29th November, an eclectic group of Melbourne artists, bands and DJs will fill the Brunny's two stages with over seven hours of live music from 3pm. Paul McManus of Paul McManus and the Mayblooms has played at many of these Brunny fundraisers in the past and says "the decision to play again was a no brainer for me. Raising cash for a good cause by playing tunes and drinking beers is pretty darn fun.' $12 on the door, as well as a percentage of bar takings will go directly to Hands Across the Water, who support at risk Thai kids and their communities. Event organiser Sian Gooden, who has pledged to raise $10,000 for Hands by January, comments 'the amazing thing about Hands is that their care of the kids comes without conditions. Hands supports kids orphaned by the Tsunami, kids impacted by HIV and kids who've been rescued out of trafficking and exploitation. Not only do Hands provide these kids with a loving home, nutritious food and access to medication and education, they also provide an ongoing support network for life as well as sustainable development initiatives for their local communities. The night shall commence at 8pm in the warm summer sun and culminate at 12am in the warm summer moon on Thursday the 11th of December!

Come one and all for some sydney road session musical madness.

Riff Fist
Borrachero
Zombie Motors Wrecking Yard

Standby Brunny Hotel, Olmeg are set to unleash album number 2 on Friday December 12th. The album is Primordial Soup and it navigates the caverns of sludge groove, a world below the surface of classic blues and rock.
To make the night one to remember, they've invited some of their favourite Melbourne bands along for the ride. Borrachero, Zombie Motors Wrecking Yard and Riff Fist will heat up the stage and induce the eargasms. There will be riffs, there will be fuzz, there will be psychedelics, there will be crushing heaviness and spacey jams, and it will all be blended up into an evening aural soupy goodness.

The band consists of Neil Miel (vox/guitar), Darin Kes ( guitar), Neil james Cross (piano/vox), Paul Robertson (bass) and Mark Andree-Everts (drums/vox) and 2015 sees them enter the studio with Melbourne producer David Carr to record songs for their follow up release.

They wind up their series of summer gigs with their final show for 2014 at The Brunswick Hotel on Saturday December 13th. Special guests include As Crows Fly and Brittle Sun who will kick off proceedings at 5pm followed by As Crows Fly at 6pm and Beyond Vegas at 7pm.
