Western Stars w/ Attractor Beams, Patches

Western Stars return to The Brunswick Hotel on Sunday November 1st. Taking their cues from bands such as Whiskeytown, Wilco, The Replacements and Big Star, their songs take leisurely turns between torched-out barroom balladry, jangly 90s slacker pop and twangy alt-country.

Joining them will be the sublime sounds and melodies of Patches. Led by Scottish songwriter Iain Wallace, Patches are influenced by the dark emotional ballads of Roy Orbison, soft vocal melodies of Jose Gonzalez and the elegant arrangements of Lennon and McCartney.

Closing the night in significantly louder, but equally awesome fashion will be the garage rock of Attractor Beams (who are NOT a sci-fi band for those who might be wondering). The gig is happening during the extra long Cup-Weekend holiday, and entry is free. It’s party time.
